Uganda Government to launch a crackdown on shisha spots country wide

If you are a fan of shisha, you may soon find yourself on the wrong side of the law, following an announcement by government Board to start a crackdown on shisha joints in the city soon.


“As the government we have decided to rein in on establishments that continue to encourage illicit and underage drinking in the city,”

The police will install regular patrols that will be used to carry out random inspections on shisha spots and bars, where they will conduct arrests and close joints that do not comply with the law.

Smoking shisha, also known as sheesha, has become popular in recent times, with almost all bars and clubs in Uganda offering the to under age people.
